Known as the ‘Great Perfection’, Dzogchen is a system of training that awakens the intrinsic nature of the mind – utterly perfect and free from duality. This retreat introduces the meditation practice and its theory, guiding participants to let thoughts arise and depart without judgement or action – simply letting go and letting be – to better occupy and live in the present moment.
Set along the unspoiled shores of Vietnam’s Vihn Hy Bay, Amanoi offers a three-night retreat that invites guests to embrace the philosophy of accepting things “as they are,” free from judgment. Throughout the program, Geshe La will lead participants in the practice of releasing thoughts, allowing them to surface and naturally dissipate without resistance. This transformative journey empowers participants to discover clarity and inner peace in the present moment.

Amanoi’s three dining venues each enjoy a distinctly different setting – from the Restaurant’s clifftop perch to the Beach Club on the shore. The Restaurant and Terrace
Perched atop a hill, the Restaurant offers a delightful dining experience that showcases the aromatic flavors of Vietnamese cuisine throughout the day. Its menu takes full advantage of seasonal ingredients sourced from local markets and the fresh catches of the day from nearby fishing boats. The restaurant’s interior, adorned with elegant columns and air-conditioning, seamlessly extends onto a terrace that provides sweeping vistas of the dramatic coastline.
The Beach Club
Nestled by the golden sands, just a short stroll from the sea, the Beach Club is embraced by majestic granite boulders. It features a shaded dining area and a deck that overlooks a pool. Open for lunch, as well as offering poolside drinks and snacks throughout the day, the Beach Club specializes in serving freshly grilled fish.
The Bar
Boasting panoramic views of Nui Chua National Park, the Bar is nestled beneath the eaves of the Central Pavilion. Drawing design inspiration from traditional Vietnamese teahouses, it offers a relaxing and atmospheric setting. Adorned with local art and photography, with glimpses of distant mountains, the Bar provides a comfortable and contemplative ambiance where guests can sink into leather armchairs and savor house cocktails.
