These 4 & 6 nights Cultural packages at Maya are the perfect way to visit world class sites and soak in the local atmosphere.

Be seduced by the peaceful surroundings of Maya – set in the lush southern countryside, and with abundant sights on its doorstep, the villa is an ideal base to explore, but also to simply relax at the end of the day. During your stay at Maya you will experience the best of Sri Lanka’s world-class heritage.

Our packages include visits to the renowned Mulkirigala Rock temple, the Katharagama temple and the Weurukannala temple. To make the experience yet more special, all meals and transfers are included and we will offer a herbal massage – a traditional Sri Lankan full body treatment using a special organically grown tropical herbal oil. This herbal massage will improve blood circulation, muscle tone and remove tension – the perfect way to relax at the end of a busy sightseeing day!

Back at Maya, enjoy quiet moments by the pool, watch sunset over the paddy fields, relax in a hammock or simply rest in one of the luxury suites. A stroll to the local village temples is also a wonderful way to get a sense of the sacred atmosphere. Or you could opt for a blessing by the Head Monk at the neighbouring temple! Food is also a highlight at Maya, with all meals cooked fresh, with local ingredients by our reputable chef.

Designed exclusively to combine the best of culture and relaxation, the Cultural package is ideal for an active, tantalizing and colourful holiday in Sri Lanka.

Thekka in the Old House opens out to the sky-blue pool. Original 25ft high ceilings, original intricate lattice work, a towering kingsize 4 poster bed draped by a mosquito net and antique fittings, evoke that colonial chic atmosphere, so unique to Maya. Thekka and Khumbuk are the perfect rooms to book if you are coming to Maya with your family.

Khumbuk in the Old House, opens out straight to the sky-blue pool. This blissfully quiet room has a view of the garden. The beautifully high ceilings provide space and good ventilation. Similar in style and layout, Khumbuk is opposite Thekka in the Old House. These 2 rooms are ideal if you are coming to spend your holiday at Maya with your family.

Amba’s spacious suite in the New Wing is an embodiment of modern luxe: clean lines, a dashingly decorated living space and a large luxury bathroom. The sliding doors in both the room and the bathroom open out to a large private courtyard – an invitation to simply relax and take in the surrounding nature.
Next to Amber, Ehela’s spacious suite in the New Wing is quintessentially modern: elegant interiors, stylishly decorated living space and a large luxury bathroom. The sliding doors opening out to a large private courtyard are an invitation to simply relax and take in the surrounding nature. Identical to Amber but more private, this is one of our most popular rooms.
Kohomba, enjoy the privacy of your own garden and courtyard. Finely decorated and retaining the sleek style of the Villa, Kohomba’s sliding doors open out to a covered courtyard, extending directly to its own private garden. Tranquility on your doorstep.

Mr
Fantastic place. We had it for our own. 5 rooms and us 5 were alone! A treat! I understand the low attendance since it is remote, 10 min away from the nearest village, so, far from alternative restaurants. We stayed for 3 nights. Prices were like in Europe. A rip off. We have been one week in Sri Lanka and know prices should not be 7 or 8 times higher than the alternative. Also they did not offer tea bags in the rooms but charged for them. The owner, a lady in London should improve those details and they would attract more travelers since the place is stunning! The atmosphere relaxed, clean, spacious, rice field integrated, modern facility, WIFI, music at the dinner table, jazzy, great. Special. Great temperature. Silva, the manager asks too much for your attention, but always with a smile. Rest of staff perfect, service oriented. Great place, a pity we could not enjoy it as much as we would have wanted (meals prices).
