Typical Itinerary

  • 5:30am – Daily Cleansing

Shat Kriyas or Yogic cleansing processes are an integral part of yoga as they help eliminate accumulated toxins from the system. The body functions like a machine and like a machine it has to be continuously cleaned and maintained. It is this cleansing of toxins like mucus, gas, acid, sweat, urine and stool that improves its functioning. Kriyas also help prepare the body and condition it for the proper practice of yogasana and pranayama.

  • 6:00am – Daily Hatha practice

An energising Hatha practice. Every morning you will  have a Hatha class. These classes are a good place to work on your alignment, learn relaxation techniques, and become comfortable with doing yoga while building strength and flexibility.

  • 7:15am – Pranayama

Breath is essential to life. Our breathing is influenced by our thoughts, and our thoughts and physiology can be influenced by our breath. Learning to breathe consciously and with awareness is the fourth limb of yoga and it can be a valuable tool in helping to restore balance in the mind and body.

  • 8:15am Breakfast & Study break

Re-fuel with a healthy vegan/vegetarian breakfast in our cafe and enjoy time with your fellow students and teachers, where you can reflect on what you have learnt, what you are feeling and ask questions in a casual, relaxed space.

  • 10:30am – Philosophy or Chanting

The yoga Sutras of Patanjali is a key text of the yoga school of Hinduism and we teach this classic text in a way that you can immediately start incorporating yoga philosophy into your daily life.

Embrace the energy of chanting mantras in your chanting classes. You will learn the meaning of many mantras and when they are used. You will practice mantras you can use in your classes as a teacher and mantras for your own personal use.

  • 11:30am – Meditation

Our meditation and mindfulness classes are based on the teachings of Buddhist Zen Master Thict Nhat Hanh.

“Mindfulness is the energy that helps us recognsise the conditions of happiness that are already present in our lives. You don’t have to wait ten years to experience this happiness. It is present in every moment of your daily life. There are those of us who are alive but don’t know it. But when you breathe in, and you are aware of your in-breath, you touch the miracle of being alive. That is why mindfulness is a source of happiness and joy.”

  • 12:45pm – Lunch Break

We serve a combination of traditional Vietnamese dishes and western meals to keep you energised and satisfied!

  • 1:45pm – Anatomy

Our Anatomy classes will teach you the fundamental information needed to apply anatomy to yoga postures and your practice.

  • 2:45pm – Self study break

chill out on the roof top terrace or sit in the Nomad cafe and hit the books!

  • 4:00pm – Ashtanga practice

Ashtanga yoga is a system of yoga transmitted to the modern world by Sri K. Pattabhi Jois (1915-2009). This method of yoga involves synchronising the breath with a progressive series of postures—a process producing intense internal heat and a profuse, purifying sweat that detoxifies muscles and organs. The result is improved circulation, a light and strong body, and a calm mind.

  • 6:00pm – Dinner

After your Ashtanga practice, you will be ready for dinner! This is another chance to reflect on the day, share and enjoy nourishing your body.

Teachers Profile

Rahul Camoli

“I had been working as a chef when I met Guru Narendra, who saw a special quality in me and advised me to learn yoga. Under his guidance I practiced & practiced and this is where my yoga journey began.

I am happy to teach yoga, as it helps people control their body to make their life easier to live, in yoga it’s not only about the physical but also learning to control the mental & emotions, you can learn to observe your emotions when being instructed to hold an asana. This practice of these things helps to make you a good person also.

Being a yoga teacher means sharing the knowledge in physical & spiritual which will help guide students to the right goal of their life. I believe everyone is born with a goal so through yoga we can see ourselves inside and guide them to achieve it.”

Victoria Nhan is a yoga and mindfulness student, teacher, and trainer based in Hoi An, Vietnam. Originally from Toronto, Canada, Victoria left the comforts of her home in 2016 to travel and explore different ways of being. While making slow journeys through Southeast Asia and Australia, she discovered that yoga, mindfulness and Reiki are all modalities that enhance life – not just a practice for the mat.

Her practice revolves around the simple question: “how can we live life with more love, peace, and joy?”

“The practice changed my life, and now I couldn’t imagine doing anything else but sharing it!” Learn more about Victoria and join her for drop in classes, private classes, masterclasses & workshops or Reiki healing treatments when you’re in Hoi An. Visit for more about Victoria and her teachings.

“Nomad Yoga has become a home away from home for me. The teachers, the students and the staff, who were feeding us delicious vegan meals three times a day, soon felt like family. Lessons were always filled with laughter and joy and we were not only able to deepen our physical practice, but share insights, question beliefs and grow as people. Thank you Nomad for these incredible 4 weeks!” – Fran

“The month with the TTC at Nomad Yoga Hoi An filled me up with so much positive energy that all these challenges of daily life where a lot easier to handle! Keeping up the (almost) daily practice, knowing how to calm down with the help of Pranayama, doing basic meditation practice and having all the good memories and heart-warming words in my head feels so good.I even held my first yoga class last week and I really enjoyed it!
Thanks you so much!” – Nadia

“ The 200hr yoga TTC course far exceeded my expectations. The fact that the main teacher trained in India gives the course a traditional feel, and having it based in Hoi An provides a relaxed atmosphere. It was the perfect balance of challenging and fun. The food was delicious, my class mates were delightful, and the yoga lessons have increased my strength and flexibility to a level that I could have never reached on my own. I thoroughly recommend doing your teacher training at Nomad.” – Alida
