Following a balanced itinerary in the studio and the beautiful accommodation and the natural surroundings, the climax of this retreat will be a beautifully candlelit evening under the stars in a special Group Meditation, having spent the day preparing Body, Heart and Mind.

This weekend retreat launch event is curated by Om & Away to promote the arrival of a new yoga studio on the block. Nithya Priyan Yoga School presents a new concept of curated yoga classes that are structured toward a long term curriculum with the objective of comprehensive learning of Yoga Asana. It is the brainchild of a teacher with over 1600 hours of experience teaching Yogis of all levels of proficiency.
Priyan started practicing yoga in 2008 as a compliment to his Vipassana meditation practice. Since then, he has witnessed the healing and transformative power of yoga in his own flexibility and strength as well as inner calm.
Priyan wants you to take this leap of faith and go on this heart opening retreat with him in this first-of-its kind experience in Singapore. Priyan is an ERYT200/YACEP certified yoga teacher with over 1600 hours of experience teaching yoga and meditation to students of all ages and levels of proficiency.
He started practicing in 2008 as a complement to his Vipassana meditation practice. Since then he has witnessed the healing and transformative power of yoga in his own body’s phenomenal increase in flexibility and strength, as well as his increased level of inner calm. He constantly draws from his own experiences in this rich and eventful journey to bring a maturity and peacefulness to each and every class conducted, attending to each student with attentiveness, patience and compassion.
He has a firm belief in the practice of Yoga being a priceless gift handed down through the ages with its ultimate purpose being to facilitate a realization of the True Self and awakening to a Higher Purpose through the purification of body, mind and spirit.
In this retreat, participants will learn to take the energy used for external communication and channel it inwards. With this retreat, you will be able to recharge from stresses of daily life, but this practice of silence and its intention goes beyond relaxation. You will learn the ideas of common good – kindness, love, gratitude and forgiveness, values that are lost in this modern society.
You will learn how to connect with yourself and with people in need, and to make sure that your loved ones and people in the society are cared and nurtured. You will rediscover humanity in this community and learn how to mingle with nature and reduce carbon footprint all at the same time with the glamp tents that you’re staying in.
You will also learn to nourish and cleanse your body with healthy green food specially prepared by the chefs from Real Food, who are so passionate about what you eat and what’s good for you.
Who we are
We are independent from health and food associations, institutes or ministries and we are not influenced by religion or politics. Instead, we spend our time being informed about where and how our food is produced while actively supporting local producers, therefore becoming part of
the integral production process.
Our café is also free from processed ingredients (food grade or otherwise), artificial preservatives
and Trans-fat. Last but not least, we are meat free!
