Morning Mysore Classes
Mysore Style is the heart of Ashtanga Yoga. In the Mysore method, students are met as individuals. Each person is taught progressively according to his or her readiness. This can be a very transformative experience for students who are open to explore their inner-self using the asana as a tool for this discovery.

Balancing the structure of the daily classes and our shared meals is the freedom to follow your instincts and do whatever you please. You may want to simply relax and absorb the beautiful surroundings, lay by the pool with it’s stunning views, or get a massage. Or perhaps you would like to follow one of the hiking trails leading directly from the grounds into the Tramuntana Mountains, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2011. A short drive away you will find several beautiful, quiet beaches and little picturesque towns to explore. Palma is close by if you want a taste of Mallorcan city life.

This old but renovated finca has 11 spacious rooms that are fully equipped in a simple and rustic style, the owners did a great job refurbishing it while maintaining its unique character and soul.
It is surrounded by the Tramuntana Mountains, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2011 because of its scenic and cultural values and source of inspiration for artists of all nationalities.
Being located only 15 min away from Palma, 20 min away from the airport and well connected to all the main roads in the island makes it perfect for our retreats since our guests can enjoy different plans every day, from shopping and sightseeing in the beautiful centre of Palma, visiting picturesque little towns or going to the beach which is only 15 minutes away.
The house has a garden where every morning we pick up the products we´ll use and a pool with breathtaking views.

Sept.24 Workshop – Exploring Bandhas
Mula Bandha and Uddiyana Bandha are important keys to the asana practice. This class will bring focus to what these “energetic locks” really are and how they can be used to create a greater sense of lightness, balance, and ease of movement. Learn to cultivate a deeper understanding and awareness of bandhas in your practice.
Sept.25 Workshop – Yoga Sutra Study
Patanjali Yoga Sutras: A New Look at All Eight Limbs and how we can integrate them into our daily lives. Yoga is the science of experience and a philosophy for living. The eight limbs provide us with a guide for how to lead a fulfilling and powerful life. When we integrate them into each area of our daily experience we cultivate a deeper connection to our true identity.
Sept.27 Workshop – The Esoteric Elements of Yoga: The Marriage of Shiva-Shakti
An Introduction to the Internal Limbs of Ashtanga Yoga.
Using Pranayama and Meditation techniques we will explore the expansion of the vital life energy within. Kaivalya is the ultimate goal of our yoga practice. We will discuss the more esoteric aspects of the practice, and various methods of mindfulness will be introduced. These practices can lead to the cultivation of a inner-meditation which helps to increase our overall sense of well-being and compassion towards others.
Sept.28 Workshop – Ashtanga Yoga as a Mirror for Self Study
An opportunity for students to ask practice related questions and receive guidance regarding the biomechanics of troublesome asanas, techniques for addressing particularly dense areas of the body, and new strategies to work intelligently and therapeutically to support the healing of old injuries.
About Your Teacher
Harmony Slater has been teaching Ashtanga Yoga in the Mysore method for over a decade. She was first introduced to Yoga in 1995, and began practicing Ashtanga Yoga in 2000. She always had a keen interest in spirituality and the art of physical movement, which culminated in fifteen years of dance training and two BA degrees in Philosophy and Religious Studies.
In 2002, she traveled through China researching Buddhist meditation and in 2004 she made her first trip to Mysore, India. That same year she moved to South East Asia where she began a five year journey of living abroad and teaching Yoga Internationally. It was a blessing to spend prolonged periods of time practicing with Sri K Pattabhi Jois and his grandson R. Sharath Jois at the Ashtanga Yoga Research Institute, now the KPJAYI.
Harmony was given Authorization by Guruji in 2006, and was granted Certification by Paramaguru Sharath Jois in 2015. She is one less than 20 women in the world to hold this honor.
Over the years she co-founded two traditional Ashtanga Yoga Schools in Canada. The first was established in 2009, in Victoria, and the other is found in Calgary. With the birth of her son Jediah in 2011, life became full and sweet, as she experienced the deeper dawning of yoga within every aspect of daily life. She has a wealth of knowledge to draw upon and openly shares her insights about experiencing the full integration of Ashtanga Yoga during her workshops.
