This retreat will be held at the Balearic Islands in Mallorca, Spain. In the heart of the Mediterra- nean, the Balearic Islands have their own unique touch and character.
Mallorca, the largest one, offers excellent hiking in the mountains, lovely old towns, beautiful beaches, and cliffs plunging into clear water. The sunny climate combined with the beautiful scenery makes it a perfect getaway for a peaceful and relaxed holiday. The soothing energy from the mountains makes Mallorca a perfect place to practice yoga while merging yourself with the beautiful surroundings.
During this retreat you will stay either in a private or a double room at a typical Mallorcan house. This typical Mallorcan manor house from the 16th Century is one of the oldest houses in Mallor- ca. In 2000 the nca was remodeled with great attention to detail and 2015 renovated again. The beach is only a few kilometers away and the rustic, but luxurious, villa is a perfect place for reading, relaxing, or just enjoying the peace and quiet of nature. All the rooms have an en-suite bathroom and some of them have their own terrace or patio.

A part from the practice itself, that was enlightening, I really enjoyed the atmosphere you created in the house, which without doubt was the most valuable part. After a vocational ballet school training from age twelve and twenty five years of studying and teaching dance at universities and ballet companies all over the UK, Philippa randomly walked into an Ashtanga yoga class in London.
It was a life-changing incident, that made complete sense.
From London, Philippa Asher is now one of a few Ashtanga yoga practitioners in the world (and the only British woman), to be Certi ed to teach the traditional Ashtanga yoga method, by Sri K Pattabhi Jois. She has learned the Pri- mary, Intermediate, Advanced A and Advanced B Series directly from Guruji and Sharath (at the Krishna Pattabhi Jois Ashtanga Yoga Institute in Mysore, India) and shares the Ashtanga system, internationally.
From the late Nineties she began learning the Ashtanga system, daily before work. For the last fteen years she has studied for several months each year at KPJAYI in Mysore, practising under the guidance of revered guru Sri K Pattabhi Jois and his grandson Sharath Jois.
